Design
A major reworking of this large property saw the team involved in some thought provoking meetings with the client. As with all projects we take on, every single client need is different and we successfully achieved all that was required in terms of layout, whilst harmonising the extensions and alterations successfully with the existing dwelling. The client was keen for this scheme to have a multi material palette but keep a more traditional twist in terms of the architecture, with detailing including stone lintols, cills and front boundary wall constructed in brickwork and coping stones to match. The anthracite grey modern casement windows really standout on this scheme, which then tie in with the feature glazed gable detail to the entrance.

Features include:

• Roof lifted off, pitch raised to accommodate a considerable master bedroom suite with inset balcony detail to the rear
• Feature gable to the front, which incorporates the entrance to the ground floor and a galleried balcony with reading and library space on the first floor
• Single storey rear extension and alterations to the internal layout to create a huge kitchen and dining experience
• Major layout changes and extensions over the existing garage and ground floor study to the sides, creating four bedrooms, three of which are ensuite
